Requirements #
A decent GPU with CUDA installed. A GPU of the 20XX series at least is recommended. 30XX is good, 40XX is even better. Mandala only works locally (for now at least). I haven’t tested it on anything else than an NVidia graphics card. It runs pretty smoothly on my 3060 Ti. |
Autodesk Maya, at least the 2022 version, with Arnold (5.0.0.0 at least) installed |
A Huggingface account (to download the models). See below. |
An Internet connection to download the models. |
Installation #
Get yourself a free HuggingFace account: HuggingFace.co |
Grab your API key here. It’s also called a ‘user access token’. |
Install the latest CUDA if you don’t have it already. |
Download and install GIT: https://gitforwindows.org/ (use default installer settings for everything) |
Install Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 redistributable |
Download and run Mandala’s installer. When asked for it, choose a folder in a drive with plenty of free space. Models are sometimes huge, so 200 GO is a minimum. |
Then, paste your HuggingFace API key. You might already have it installed though, in which case the installer will detect it automatically. |
